The weirdest thing on my “to do” list this week? Write up some sort of basic “will” document that states who puppy Teddy goes to, worst case scenario.
I am compiling a list of people who I think could (and would want to) take Teddy as their life partner, just in case something might happen to me.
I took him on as my forever dog, and want to make sure he has a solid, permanent home, should anything ever happen to me.
He can’t stay at my home where he is now.
(and for those who may not know, in some contracts with breeders, that’s one of the only ways that a dog would be possibly forced to go back to a breeder … and he’s never going back there!) … unless one has something in writing)
A dog will, I guess. My own made up one.
I intend on living and on being healthy! And … It’s a sad thought. But Teddy’s like a baby, helpless, and it’s my job to make sure he has love, shelter, food, and a home forever.
Love, Brenda
