When you’ve struggled with anxiety and fear for as long as I have, and something, someone comes along that gives you hope, tools and some relief; well, that would be Mel Robbins, I just can’t get enough of it right now.
I’m devouring anything I can find of hers in written word and video, and am doing the best I can to use the 5-4-3-2-1 tool to help change my life, whenever I can remember to use it.
This video of Mel’s on Reframing Anxiety talks about fear and excitement and how they are being displayed in exactly the same way physiologically in the body, and how you can reframe your thoughts and retrain your brain to believe that you are excited! … instead of afraid.
Brilliant.
I’ll need lots of practice, 1) to remember to do it and 2) to master it as a skill but at least I have hope.
Have a watch and listen. Here’s Mel’s video:
Always Love,
